Skills for Life
An instructional training film designed to promote kitchen safety, confidence, and consistency across Healthy Harlem programming.

Strong storytelling makes even the most technical skills feel accessible. As part of the Healthy Harlem initiative, Harlem Children’s Zone needed a way to bring foundational kitchen skills to their staff and community members remotely.
As part of its Healthy Harlem initiative, Harlem Children’s Zone required a clear and practical training resource focused on knife safety and foundational kitchen skills. The goal was to create a professional, easy-to-follow video that reinforced best practices while remaining accessible and engaging for staff and community members. We developed and produced a structured series that balances clear demonstration with visual intuition. By managing the full production lifecycle, we turned a set of safety guidelines into a polished, engaging narrative that empowers participants to cook with confidence and care.
